Improve a text by using linking and other words

This text is about a certain travel experience and written in a very simple style without using any conjunctions, any complements and any relative clauses. In the right part of the grid the students have to rewrite the text using the given words or constructions. One possible solution out of many others is added. I prepared this exercise for my seventh form (Gymn)
