Thank you for the material, but it does need some reworking: One of the rules of modal auxilliaries is that you cannot conjugate them or change them in any way. That applies to some of your words (must, can, might, etc.), but not to many others (want, have to, be able to, etc.), and one very important one is missing (will). I understand the desire to list words like "have to" as a modal auxilliary, but maybe you could change the list that is a "Hilfsverb" in many ways, but is not really a "modal auxilliary"? |
